RWANDA'S foreign minister dismissed suggestions yesterday its government was involved in the shooting in Johannesburg of former army chief Faustin Kayumba Nyamwasa.

"It is ridiculous," Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo said. "We are not a government ... that is inclined to assassinate its own citizens."

Nyamwasa's wife, Rosette, had been reported on Saturday as saying the attack on her husband was a politically motivated assassination attempt. She said yesterday her husband was now "fine" and "improving" in the Morningside …
